Organizational Profile
Deborah`s Place breaks the cycle of homelessness for women in Chicago. Through a continuum of housing options, comprehensive support services and opportunities for change provided by dedicated volunteers and staff, women succeed in achieving their goals of stable housing, sustainable income and greater self-determination.
Position Profile
This position oversees all grants and contracts submissions for the agency and is responsible for developing proposals, letters and reports to meet all funder requirements; identifying and researching new sources of government and corporate/foundation funding and maintaining relationships with funders. The position works with program staff to assess the potential new funding from government and private sources and finance staff to develop budgets and insure accurate reporting; maintain grants portfolio and calendar in Raisers Edge.
Salary: Low 40s

Bachelor’s degree in related field; 4-6 years in grant writing or grants management; social service experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional writing skills with great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, conflict management skills; and knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness. |
