Job Specification :
Geotechnical Design Engineer–technical Department
•geotechnical design and technical solutions
-Preparation of piling designs and design optimizations in accordance with relevant project specifications and applicable cost.
-Providing safe and economic design for all shoring related techniques such as DW, SPW, CPW, ground anchoring, soldier piles.
-Preparation of slope stability analysis with or without reinforcing structural elements (piling, nails, etc)
-Assessment of applicability and potential efficiency of soil improvement techniques based on standard practice and previous experience.
-Creation of specific technical solutions of a project by project basis.
-Developing conceptual designs for jobs under study.
-Preparation of method statements relating to foundation engineering activities particularly those that are design-sensitive in nature.
-Value engineering study and analysis at tender stages for price optimization, as directed.
-Coordination with office and project draftsmen and signing off on all project related drawings.
-Communicate with after other designers and technical engineers to improve quality, ensure safety and broaden the engineering points of view.
•Communication
-Attending meetings with consultant engineers, municipality, and other relevant bodies for the discussion and approval of designs.
-Conducting frequent building-site visits to projects.OR Represent the department in meetings.
•Following up
-Assisting the operations department with technical support and all design related issues as directed by the technical manager
-Follow up with the commercial department during tendering to ensure accurate pricing.
-Follow up with quality controllers
