Purpose of Job
To provide Contracting, Procurement and Inventory Management services primarily on Rotating Equipment category to the Business (eg. XOP’s and XEN’s), including;
- Support in development of the long term contracting strategies in line with Category Management
- Ensuring contracts and Purchase Orders are awarded at the most favourable financial terms available in accordance with BSP’s contracting policies and procedures
Principal accountabilities
-To provide procurement support to all XOP’s and XEN’s on Rotating Equipment requirements and to process RFQs and Purchase Orders within the corporate processing time.
- RFQ/Tender preparation and issue, preparation of bid evaluation models and/or negotiation plans, commercial evaluations and award in accordance with the Materials Procurement Procedures and Guidelines.
- To update Procurement Plans and is responsible for tracking for own portfolio.
- To attend scheduled coordination meetings with the XOP’s and XEN’s teams and category team leads.
- To liaise with TAs & PMCs for procurement input including delivering SCM content and ensure up to date info (incl. Feedback)
- To provide updated SODT for own portfolio with latest market information.
- To contribute to the delivery of the Inventory Management dashboard e.G. Non-moved stock, surplus materials, etc.
- Ensure that best practice, new developments, ideas and changing market conditions are accurately reflected in contracting and procurement strategies, tenders and contracts.
- Provide pre and post award contract and procurement services, meeting agreed timeframes without jeopardizing quality or commerciality.
- Analyse and understand business needs and cost/value drivers, supply chains and market sectors, and review procurement methods applicable to Rotating Category with a view of simplifying and rationalising purchase (i.E. Through Supply Agreements), the proposal and follow-up of establishment of such Agreements and liaison with any parties involved in calling off materials (C.O.O.) against those Supply Agreements.
- Clarify terms and conditions and ensure appropriate document review of tenders, contracts and variations by SCM, LGL, FAC.
- Contribute to periodic reports and keep the OMNICOM/SAP systems up-to-date.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to the HSSE management system.
- Ensure compliance with US Export Controls and relevant Competition Law.
- Keep abreast of market conditions and intelligence.
- Provide support to Rotating Vendor Registration and assessment of Vendors’ capability.

Qualifications
Required
Tertiary Graduate in engineering, business studies or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification, Or
HND graduate in engineering, business studies or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification and a minimum 3 years relevant working experience, especially in maintenance related activities in the oil & gas industry.

Competence Required
Experience
- Sound knowledge of Supply Chain activities.
- Sound knowledge of Incoterms
- An understanding of legal principles and commercial/contract awareness of industry contracting practices.
- Experience in pre and post contract development and management.
- Experience in inventory management
Training
- Operate with minimal guidance and supervision.

- Good communication skills; able to work and communicate with staff from a wide range of technical backgrounds and management levels.
- Practical, good business sense and strong analytical skills.
