The duties of the Au-pair
An Au-pair is expected to cover a wide range of choses in the household.
* Clean the children`s rooms.
* Do the everyday shopping.
* Support the mother, father, with work like
o Help with cooking,
o Laundry ironing,
o Washing floors if necessary,
o Vaccum cleaning.
* Take charge of the children, play with them, read to them, feed them.
* Take them to the Kindergarten or school.
* Accompany them to lessons, sport, friends etc.
* Take them to the playground/park.
* Baby-sitting in the evening by appointment 1-2 times per week.
* Working hours are 5 hours per day or by appointment but not more than 30 hours per week.
* Free time: 1 day per week, 4 evenings per week or by appointment.
* Holidays:
o 12-month of stay: 4 weeks
o otherwise: 2 days/month
