This position is for a Biogas Expert/Chief Technology Officer reporting directly to the CEO.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for all technological activities associated with new and existing industrial wastewater, agricultural and municipal solid & wastewater biogas projects
Represent the technical design team in reviewing and providing analytical assessment of potentially new wastewater to energy biogas projects.
Be the key design engineer and/or key member of a design team on these new projects and concepts.
Undertake conceptual design of the projects and to supervise the conceptual design and preliminary and final engineering drawings of technical and engineering staff.
Introduce new techniques or improve upon existing techniques in anaerobic digestion or new technologies in water and wastewater resource management and methane gas recovery to enhance the project potential of the project portfolio.
Assist management in project oversight, onsite engineering, analytical work anf project commissioning stage.
As projects are completed you will be assigned the role of technical advisor to each of the third party companies in the interests of mandated monitoring and verification as well as technical troubleshooting for the wastewater aspects.
Assist the company in developing and/or refining certain Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project methodologies as required.
With existing projects be part of the technical team for monitoring and verification (M&V) policies to ensure that the company`s obligations under DCM contacts are being properly implemented, through regular critical analysis reports to Management.
Will be required to participate in the sale efforts of the company throughout its core region, this may include China and India. Do this through originality of Waste to Energy projects as well as follow up as a member of an ad hoc project sales team on other prospects that are being developed through the company`s core sales staff.
We be asked to present and assist the sales force in selling the concept of client management.
Responsible for key R&D projects and appropriated budgets supervision and will be responsible for the reporting on their output, defining budgets and advising the company on near term commercialization of the prospective R&D to the CEO.
