The criteria for selection of candidates to assist with Intellectual Property matters would minimally consist of the following
o Undergraduate degree in English and/or Engineering preferred.
o Graduate degree in Law.
o Graduated in top 5% of class – official transcripts need to be attached and submitted with resume.
o Should be well versed in the English language.
o Good computer skills
o Must have at least 3+ years with law firm or IP department. Specific concentration during work experience must be in patent law.
o Good comprehension of United States (USPTO) and Europe (EPO) IP laws, regulations, and policies.
o Candidate should be skilled and have adequate experience in: drafting patents, claim construction, filing applications, filing divisional, amendments, re-issues, performing in-depth prior art searches, constructing claim charts, patent validity opinions, freedom to proceeds, infringement opinion, etc.
o Organizing international dockets for multinational corporations.
