Working for a large European Construction Main Contractor on a USD1.6 billion heavy civil / marine engineering project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Brief Job Descriptions:
Preparing shop drawings and bar bending schedules for concrete and reinforcement works.
Preparing shop drawings for scaffolds, and formworks.
Preparing shop drawings for piping works.
Drafting and preparing method statements.
Preparing technical and material submittals.
Design coordination. (i.e. to coordinated between the construction and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements).
Procurement coordination. (i.e. to read the specifications to identify the requirements and forward them to procurement department then follow up).
Specifications:
The candidate¡¦s experience should cover the part of the above tasks but not by necessity all of them. However experience in reinforced concrete works is essential.
The requirement is for one senior engineer of about 5 to 7years experience and one junior engineer of 3 to 5 years experience.
Previous experience in GRP pipelines would be an advantage.
Qualification:
Civil Engineering degree is required.
