Job Specifications
Required Educational Level:
B .Sc. Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, Master degree is desirable
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a senior role of cables manufacturing or similar industries
Professional Knowledge:
- Professional Knowledge in product and systems design
- Professional Knowledge in quality management
- Professional Knowledge in production systems and manufacturing processes
- Professional Knowledge in advanced statistics
- Professional Knowledge in industrial standards and regulatory requirements
- Professional Knowledge in computer skills
Duties and Responsibilities in Details
Formulating Policies and Objectives and Proposing Strategies
• Participating in formulating strategies, policies and objectives for the Division, as well as for the Technical Department
• Developing and executing comprehensive Technical plans and programs, both short and long term, to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share
• Monitoring the Technical Department performance against pre-set performance goals and ensure that preventive and corrective actions are taken accordingly
• Setting the estimated budget for the Technical Department, and monitoring the department`s expenditures and financial performance in coordination with Finance Division
• Disseminating instructions and circulars in addition to take administrative and technical decisions necessary to fulfill endorsed plans and executive programs
Executive and Technical Duties
• Creating and executing product and systems technical development plans to meet changing needs and requirements of the customers
• Managing the activities of preparing plans, designs, cost estimates, and specifications for experimental, maintenance, or developing programs to determine most feasible approach to technical problems
• Managing the activities of engineers and technicians setting up prototype units designed to perform experimental operations
• Coordinating the activities of workers engaged in testing operations, collecting and interpreting processing records
• Evaluating the performance records of the manufacturing processes and the physical operations and submitting report of findings to the Technical and Quality Division`s management
• Verifying compliance of products and systems to the industrial quality standards and specifications and keeping track for industrial trends in the business of the company
• Following up on various technical and quality issues of products and systems as received internally (operations) or externally (customer complaints) and coordinating with the concerned departments` managers
