Job Purpose:
Manage Mechanical Workshops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Doha to deliver high quality and timely service to project teams for the upkeep and maintenance of all site investigation equipment and large tools. Provide hands-on leadership in the fabrication/modification of special rigs and platforms as and when required.

Responsibilities
1. Oversee scheduled and break-down maintenance and repair of equipment, hydraulic systems, machinery, tools, winches, etc. and provide hands on guidance whenever required; also, provide services for minor repairs of laboratory and office equipment.
2. Lead the fabrication and/or modification of rigs, drilling systems and specialist proprietary Fugro equipment; design and implement modifications to existing hydraulic systems.
3. Streamline and manage Workshop activities through Equipment & Tools Database, Servicing Schedule & Records, Monthly/ daily plans, etc.
4. Allocate manpower within workshop and for servicing on sites/other locations in order to maximise utilisation and keep overtime within budgeted limits
5. Manage inventory of Workshop equipment, tools and spares, and oversee supply, storage and issue
6. Maintain a roster of reliable and cost-effective vendors for required services and materials
7. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with project managers, project leaders and department heads; lead, train and motivate own team
8. Ensure adherence to safety requirements according to the company’s HSE policies and local health, safety and environmental regulations
9. Administer registration and certification of machines and equipment to meet statutory safety and other compliance requirements
10. Ensure cost-effective functioning of the workshop, and all related maintenance/ repair work carried out under own supervision

| Capacités Requises: |
Qualifications
Preferably Mechanical Engineering (Graduation / BE ) OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering after High School
Preferably, with formal or practical training in Hydraulics.
Experience(years & Type of role, level and industry)
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering workshop, of which at least 2 years in a similar role
Preferably, should have experience in hands-on maintenance of hydraulics, diesel and petrol engines, small boats and offshore vessels.
Knowledge & Skills
• Conceptual and practical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering & Hydraulics
• Interpersonal skills and mature approach for leading teams and coordinating work with project teams in various locations
• Hands-on, positive approach to solving technical problems; good understanding of machines; innovative
• MS Office suite - Excel and Word e.G. For managing equipment and tool database
