Our client in UK is an international leader in the creation and licensing of semiconductor System-on-Chip Intellectual Property (SoC IP) and in the development and manufacture of DAB digital radios. It is now looking for new engineers.
The Role

It is very much "hands on" and an adaptive approach to the job is essential. You will be working on the most exciting projects in the industry, using the latest tools and techniques, within talented teams.
The role is within the embedded team working on revolutionary META multi-threaded programmable RISC/DSP processor IP cores.
Primary responsibilities will include
Working with the embedded development team on porting, developing and maintaining embedded operating systems, Linux kernels, drivers, applications and reference designs
Working on the development of new and existing embedded products, particularly in the areas of audio and video streaming
Keeping up to date with new developments in the area of the company`s business, and with new techniques applicable to the development of the company`s products
Being creative and working on new ideas to enhance or extend the company`s product range
Finding and solving problems in the company`s products

| Capacités Requises: |
Required Skills
Proven programming skills in C
Some knowledge of C++ or embedded C++
Experience of embedded systems
Preferably experience of operating system internals and drivers
The ability to think clearly and logically, and to reduce a problem to its basics
Excellent problem solving abilities
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Quick and eager to learn and apply new skills
Desirable Skills
Knowledge and experience of the Linux operating system and GNU tool chain internals
A passion for working at the processor, operating system and driver levels
An understanding of processor architectures, and a desire to learn more |
