Communication and Marketing Manager.
The Communication Manager is responsible to create, implement and oversee communication programmes that effectively describe and promote KEPSA’s goals, policies and services.
While acting as a focal point for all communication matters, the Communication Manager will develop cooperative relationships with appropriate media agencies, Government organizations, Ministries and ensure that information from these role players is effectively distributed to the members within the private sector.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Handle all communication functions to support all aspects of

3. Arrange and conduct programmes to keep regular contact between the relevant stakeholders
4. Write regular news releases, proposals, annual reports, scripts and related items.
5. Build public confidence and create favorable attitudes among the various organizations, interest groups and the public through effective communication.
6. Ensure that all communication materials represent best practice in design and layout.
7. Participate in the formulation and implementation of KEPSA’s communication and public relations/ Marketing strategy and materials to expound on KEPSA’s mandate and role.
8. Coordinate gathering of market intelligence for KEPSA and collating information for management decision making
9. Disseminate research information to KEPSA members
10. Identify policy research needs among members and recommend research areas
11. Manage marketing and research interns
12. Along side the Executive Director and membership committee support the Membership and Administration officer to develop membership development strategies.
A) Identify potential members
B) Write solicitation proposals to the identified potential members and initially seeking for appointments.
C) Visit and make presentations to companies where appointments have been granted.
D) After the presentations, follow up on telephone on decisions by the boards of the companies visited.
E) Connect new members with the programme officers for inclusion in the programmes of their respective sectors.
13. Through the Executive Director, report on and account for all the KEPSA communications and Marketing activities in relation to accomplishment of KEPSA’s strategic annual objectives.
14. Provide technical guidance to the KEPSA’s sector secretariats on planning and management of advocacy events.
15. Maintain communication and marketing databases, including tracking system for communication and marketing analysis and performance related data.
16. Act as a liaison to external marketing support services agencies and serve as the focal point person between KEPSA and the Kenya public at large including the mass media
17. Monitor market and review information on how KEPSA is perceived by various publics and advice management on addressing the same
18. Provide technical guidance on developing KEPSA advertising and publicity materials.
19. Prepare press releases, speeches, presentations and briefs for KEPSA so as to provide accurate and reliable information to the public and other stakeholders.
20. Co-ordinate the development, publishing and communication of KEPSA’s information including weekly progress reports.
21. Co-ordinate the development and maintenance of the KEPSA index under the guidance of the Communication and marketing committee of the Board and Executive Director.
22. Collect and collate information for the KEPSA website and maintain the site in a dynamic and professional manner.
23. Any other duties that may be assigned.

| Capacités Requises: |
Qualifications and experience required
• A University Degree in Communication Studies, Journalism, linguistics, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification acceptable to the Board.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communication and media relations in the private sector, of which two years should have been at management/supervisory level.
• Excellent communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and active team player.
• Mature, confident and professional approach to work
• Computer literate.
