Client – Actimize Environment : They run their Actimize models everyday at around 3pm (Chicago time).
All their Servers and DBA s are based in Chicago which is why you will also be based out of there.
2. The Current Situation: The person responsible for Actimize support is leaving his position by the 30th of JULY. So you are expected to take over from that individual. After which you will be responsible for supporting the platform with help from Client
4. Project objectives: You will need to ensure that the Actimize production system runs as per plan. Eessentially this will be
· Ensure production environment is running correctly.
· Ensure data is received from various locations, and follow up when it has not been received. This includes batch and real-time feeds.
· Ensure the data is loaded into the database. Resolve any problems with loading the data
· Make sure that the Actimize models run when all data has been loaded
· Communicate with users on any delays in the running of models.
· There have been a number of recent improvements in automated monitoring of this environment, and they expect you to suggest and assist in the implementation of further improvements.
· Investigate production queries from users
§ From time to time, users will question the results displayed in the Actimize Case Manager. .
§ Support resources will be John, Actimize support desk, Actimize project team
§ Coordinate the changes necessary to put changes from UAT into production
· Manage the UAT and development environments.
· Assist Actimize in the deployment of changes into these 2 environments
· Adjust the load process for data into the database where necessary. (There are 3 new feeds being worked on LIFFE, Eurex and ICE)
· Propose improvements and once authorized implement improvements to the reliability of the production environment
