| Description: |
Prior 8 years of progressive team handling experience and responsibilities in Government, home equity or mortgage underwriting and lending business experience.
- The above should include atleast 3 yrs of core underwriting experience, as a senior underwriter.
8 years of experience in the Mortgage Industry, including at least 3 years of experience in credit underwriting, with understanding of FNMA, FHLMC and Government loans, as a senior underwriter.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain monthly performance measurements of the team.
Ensure adherence to client Service levels.
Manage/Maintain credit risk quality standards as evidenced by portfolio performance, exception standards as established by Management, Corporate and/or Governmental agency audits.
Lead meetings with team regarding operational actions.
Provide input into and implement operational initiatives, benchmarks and metrics for standards of performance.
Implements strategic initiatives to ensure profitability of operational plans.
Leads Unit Managers in all tactical and strategic initiatives.

| Capacités Requises: |
-Experience in reviewing and analyze all loan credit, income, and asset documents. (1003 Application, Income (Pay stubs, W2, 1040), Full Appraisal Review, Title, Flood Certificate, Bailee Letter, Escrow details, Sales Contract, Credit Reports, Asset Documents (bank statements, broker statements, gift letters, retirement accounts, etc),
-Ability to Review Conventional and Government mortgage loans for compliance of all applicable guidelines and ensure integrity of all data and process inputs
-Ability to validate integrity of all data, viz a viz the system, and update client systems with the correct information.
Ability to validate that all Desktop Underwriter/Loan Prospector conditions are met with supporting documentation in loan file and all system inputs are accurate. DU/LP are Fannie and Freddie Automated Underwriter Systems (AUS)
-Experience in specialized mortgages (MECA, CO-OP, loan modifications)
-Ability to resolve outstanding loan stipulations
-Ability to calculate and accurately determine front-end and back-end ratios for credit underwriting decisions.
-Ability to review all pertinent data available to reach sound credit decisions that mitigate overall risk exposure while contributing to the financial and revenue goals of the business.
