Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator for a permanent position based in Doha, Qatar
The Maintenance Coordinator performs a wide range of routine handyman maintenance and repair work, both skilled, and semi-skilled for the project offices including maintenance and repair of plumbing system, mechanical and electrical systems, minor building electrical problems and basic carpentry.
He/she manages external maintenance contractors and related Service Level Agreements; ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant with current international Health and Safety guidelines.
Other duties include:
• Provides basic maintenance and repair of plumbing systems as directed, to include repair of leaking fixtures, unclogging drains, and installing water coolers.
• Troubleshoots, maintains, and performs basic repair of building electrical systems, including Air Conditioning and Fresh Air systems, tubes, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, power supply and switchboard.
• Manages external maintenance contractors, checks Quality of work performed and interprets and supervises related Service Level Agreements.
• Ensures that all work undertaken is compliant with current international Health and Safety guidelines.
To apply you will have the following skills / experience:
• Completion of Higher Secondary School
• Relevant Trade or Technical Certificate
Experience & Skills
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Experience and knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems.
• Handyman experience in carpentry, plumbing and painting.
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of Life-Safe systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor electrical problems, and to perform routine, minor electrical installations and re-lamping.
• Experience in the management of external maintenance contracts and related SLAs.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills with a helpful and proactive “can do” attitude.
• Demonstrated strong time management skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
