Our Client is is an international leader in the creation and licensing of semiconductor System-on-Chip Intellectual Property (SoC IP) and in the development and manufacture of DAB digital and connected radios.
The Role
To work as part of a team responsible for developing driver software for next generation graphics hardware and other licensed hardware IP.
Primary responsibilities will include
-Work with Microsoft to ensure Imagination graphics drivers deliver the best possible performance under Windows
-Track updates from Microsoft which relate to driver development, including Windows updates, Service Packs, WLK updates, security updates, Windows Logo requirements docs, etc
-Analyse Microsoft updates and identify issue before they are adopted by the Imagination driver development engineers
-Liaise with Imagination customers and broker consensus on the timing of adoption of Microsoft updates
-Trial advanced Windows graphics technologies on Imagination hardware
-Triage WLK (WHQL) test failures in Imagination’s drivers
-Formulate and submit WLK waivers to Microsoft (as required) for Imagination’s graphics and video hardware/software

-Excellent C programming skills
-Experience with Windows Driver programming
-Some customer facing experience
-Some background in Computer Graphics

Qualifications
BSc in Engineering or Computing with up to 5+ years experience.
