Building Physicist – Abu Dhabi
Our Client is a Multi-Disciplined International Consultancy operating in the Middle East, North Africa, India & China providing world-class professional design and management services which include architectural design, progressive infrastructure engineering and project and construction management.
Working within our Client’s Building Physics Team as a Building Physicist you will be responsible for delivering thermal models and providing sustainable / environmental design expertise for a variety of Projects across the Middle East region and internationally.
Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate experience in the following:
• Proven ability in implementing Energy/Thermal Modeling for Sustainable Design.
• Working as part of an integrated design process.
• Must have good understanding of LEED and Estidama.
• Work with BIM/CAD staff as well as working with architectural and engineering design staff.
• Ensuring sustainable designs are completed schedule.
• Providing design review and technical guidance in accordance QA/QC Procedures.
• Knowledge of latest developments within sustainable design.
Essential Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree (Sustainability, Architecture or Engineering)
• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
• 10 years experience working in construction
• 6 years experience working in sustainable design
• Experience of environmental design software – IES, DOE2, ECOtech, Equest or Energy Plus.
Beneficial Requirements:
• Masters Degree (Sustainability, Architecture or Engineering)
• Corporate Membership of Chartered/Professional Institution
• Chartered (CEng) / Professional Engineer (PE)
• BREEAM Assessor
• Learning to become an Estidama Trainer would be beneficial
