Position Summary:
Following the Policies and Procedures of the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC), the Executive Director will plan and administer a range of functions, which will reflect the goals and objectives of BANAC. The Executive Director will represent the organization externally and ensure that the organization is positioned appropriately within the aboriginal community and the community at large.
Start Date: November 30, 2009
Salary: Base salary is 65,000 per annum.

| Capacités Requises: |
Basic Requirements:
Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years management experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and in a non-profit environment.
Minimum 5 years experience working knowledge with budgets and financial reports in a non-profit organization.
Ability to assess the organizations overall financial position and identify sources of funding to fill the gaps
Demonstrated proficient computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Strong background in human resource management.
Knowledge of enhancing, developing and implementing of policies and procedures and the ability to review and make recommendations on revisions to current policies and procedures considering legalities, appropriate current legislations and the Employment Standards Act.
Proven ability to develop working relationships with Government Departments and Agencies while maintaining adherence to goals and objectives of BANAC.
Proven ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with BANAC member organizations
Knowledge of programs and services an asset
Knowledge of Aboriginal cultures and communities an asset.
Successful candidate must provide a current CPIC; have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel.
Successful candidate must be bondable. |
