MMG’s Century Mine operation, the second largest zinc mine in the world, comprises two sites located North-west Queensland, Australia.
Due to a recent internal promotion, we are now recruiting a Senior Drill and Blast Engineer for Century’s Planning and Engineering Department.
This role will draw heavily on your expertise in blast design optimisation, blast techniques and ore recovery for a hard rock open cut mining operation. Your depth of experience will mean you’re able to provide coverage for both the Superintendent – Mine Planning and Engineering, as well as the Senior Mine Engineer – Scheduling, during periods of absence.
Degree qualified, you will be literate in a range of mine design, blasting and ERP software. In addition to an uncompromising commitment to safety, you’ll be adept in analysis, management and relationship building.
For this opportunity, MMG’s Century Mine operation is offering a FIFO roster commuting from Townsville or Mt.Isa. The Century Mine operation provides first class onsite accommodation with meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.
