National Business Manager for: Vegetable Business
Designation: National Business Manager (NBM)
Purpose and Scope:
The National Business Manager focuses on achieving sales revenue and market share targets by developing and executing business plans, liaising with the Marketing team, ensuring effective coverage of territories and supporting the Sales department. His primary focus will be to develop the Sales team and leverage and grow partnerships with key customers nationally. The National Business Manager reports to the Strategic Business Unit Head.
Tasks:
Develop and implement an effective strategic sales plan in consultation with SBU-Head.
Develop and maintain a strong work relationship with key opinion leaders and contacts with other relevant agents
Lead and influence a successful and experienced team of Sales managers
Monitor, analyse sales and market trends
Responsible for managing and controlling the sales budget
Knowledge / Qualification & Experience:
• B.Sc / M.Sc. (Ag.), MBA (Marketing) will be added advantage
• Minimum of 15 years of Sales and marketing experience / business development with atleast 2-3 years handling National sales Responsibilities.
Key Result Areas / Job Responsibilities:
To plan and achieve the annual budget of Business
To evaluate market potential, market size (segments)and understand the customer needs to enhance business.
To formulate strategy for Product-Packaging, Positioning and Promotion.
Co-Ordinate with PRD,PRC,QA & SCO for product placement / supply chain management, complaints handling etc.
To manage promotional expenses and inventory
Train / Coach .Guide the team with regard to New & focused product/s. Market Feedback to R&D for new product development
Selection of New products, developed, by R&D with the support of Product Mangers & RBMs
Deliver revenue at or ahead of budget

Top: Reports to Strategic Business Unit Head
