HCL International are currently looking for Palliative Care Nurses for a Large NHS Hospital based in London
The successful applicant will provide palliative care and advice to patients and their families. You must have a strong and empathetic nature in order to be able to provide psychological and emotional support.
Responsibilities
• Providing first rate care to patients and their families
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Providing specialist symptom control advice
• Pain management
• Supporting other members of the team to make sure that the best care possible is given to the patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Working with a multi disciplinary team to provide respite and palliative care to patients with life limiting conditions,
• Monitoring and maintaining standards of nursing care and professional development.
Requirements
• You will have full NMC registration or be eligible to gain full NMC registration
• At least 1 years work experience
• Oncology / Chemotherapy Nursing experience desirable
• Relevant post registration qualification desirable
• 1-2 years post registration experience within a cancer palliative care capacity essential
