Arts Administration Press & Marketing Outreach Internship
Full or part time
Academic credit and stipend available.
BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange is seeking a self-motivated, organized individual with an interest in the performing arts and arts administration.
Responsibilities:
OUTREACH
• Post online listings of BAX events and programs
• Distribute BAX marketing materials to local businesses in Park Slope and beyond
• Coordinate flyer/postcard mailings to dance and theater venues, schools, etc
• Outreach to schools and community organizations
• Send out weekly BAXnews (email blast)
• Assist in managing outreach calendar, electronic archives & database
• Assist in outreach and administration of artists services/opportunities
DESIGN
• Create and maintain items for the bulletin boards and sandwich board
• Proofread marketing materials
• Create performance programs
• Assist in web updates
OTHER
• Assist with online research and various other responsibilities based on need
• Archive press clippings and BAX marketing materials (flyers, posters, etc)
• Assist in managing Box Office reservations
Interns will receive free admission to BAX dance & theater performances, discounts on classes and workshops and invaluable experience.
Interns are expected to commit to no less than 24 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. Duties may vary with interests, experience and needs of the marketing department.
