Hello,
Currently applying for a teaching vacancy in a Chinese university, I thought it would be interesting to contact you directly via email.
I am a 25-year-old Frenchman, presently teaching in my country (French language, literature and latin studies) to native French students but used to teach my language abroad to non native speakers : I spent 2 years in the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland and Scotland) and 2 years in Iceland.
I apologize for sending this email in English but was not sure whether you were actually a French teacher and speaker.
Back to the year 2005, I passed a master degree in French language and literature and moved abroad to teach my language to foreigners (high school students in the UK and kindergarten and primary school pupils in Iceland).
I speak fluent French and English, as a matter of fact and have an accurate knowledge of the Icelandic language. I don`t know any Chinese but studied Japanese 4 years and can roughly understand the meaning of about 800 Chinese Hanzi (though I can`t read or pronounce them). Thus, I would of course commit myself and study the Chinese language if I can work in a Chinese university in the next future, as I have a huge interest in your culture and civilization, one of the most ancient of our world.
Teaching abroad made me confident about my teaching skills and taught me how to adapt to the expectations of the students and help them improve their spoken and written abilities.
Please find here with this application my resume both in English and in French, as well as a copy of my university degrees,
Yours sincerely,
|
