| S.O.S Limited is Bermuda's oldest employment agency, servicing Bermuda for over 45 years.
S.O.S. Limited's recruitment drive is ongoing and we select persons from abroad to work for the agency as Legal Secretaries. For this type of employment we require persons to have a tested typing speed of between 50 - 60wpm, an understanding of legal terminology and practice, strong computer skills and grammar along with a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Legal Secretary. Shorthand although not essential, is an asset. Our Legal Secretaries need to be flexible and able to adapt to new office environments as the length of any assignment can vary. The majority of our temporary assignments are long term. A professional attitude and demeanour is paramount.
We apply to the Bermuda Immigration Department to obtain a one year work permit for successful candidates. This permit provides for you to work as a Legal Secretary in Bermuda only. The work permit enables you to temp for S.O.S. Limited or our sister company CapCar Temporary Services, only. Subject to Immigration approval this one year work permit and the agency contract is renewable. After temping for a minimum of six months with the agency Immigration provides for you to accept a permanent position with a local company. This placement is handled by the agency. Ideally, we do aim to place our temporary employees in permanent positions as close to their six month temping period as possible.
