| Job Beschreibung: |
· CVICU is a 28-bed post open heart intensive care unit.
· The patients have had CABG, valve, Thoraco-adominal, AAA or other type of vascular surgery.
· The unit is a recovery area and the patients are admitted to the unit, immediately post op.
· Assignments are made according to patient acuity.
· 9 dedicated CVORs and that do an average of 2500 bypass cases per year.
· Hewlett Packard Merlin Monitors with no central monitor, so nurses are responsible for staying at the bedside.
· Labs, x-rays, and ancillary services are ordered by computer.
· There is a satellite pharmacy and point of care lab open Monday through Friday 7a-11pm.
· There is no mandatory OT in CVICU, but OT is available on an ongoing basis.
· Currently there are 7a and 7p openings on the CVICU
