Job Summary:
Prorizon is looking for a self-motivated and dedicated individual to work in our information technology group. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. The candidate should be a dynamic thinker, able to grow and thrive in fast-paced environment. The job functions include: development and maintenance of Internet and LAN systems; batch reporting; operation of our proprietary LAN procurement system; MS-SQL and Pervasive SQL database management systems; assist in maintaining a user’s manual and systems documentation and; resolve customer inquiries and complex processing issues. This position is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the $100 billion procurement business.
Responsibilities:
Run and maintain Internet and LAN applications
Become proficient in using MSE e-Developer, Pervasive SQL,
MS-SQL and FTP sites, all in a Microsoft Windows environment
Able to take direction with minimal supervision and adapt easily to new technologies
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities |
| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Requirements:
1-3 years direct work experience in Information Technology
Familiarity with Internet HTML and JavaScript programming (knowledge of XML, cXML and UDI a plus)
Working knowledge of current IT technologies
Effective negotiation skills
Ability to deal tactfully with customers, vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively take ownership, prioritize and execute tasks is crucial
Well versed in: Windows W2K/W2003, Word, Excel
Must have a strong working knowledge of the Internet.
Advantageous to know: MSE e-Developer; C++; VC++; LAN administration; Oracle; MS-SQL; Pervasive SQL; web site design, programming and implementation; Client Server application design; accounting applications or procurement applications
Advantageous to have a strong working knowledge about the internal operation of PC’s and Servers
Work Conditions:
Overtime may be required
Sitting for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects
Physically able to participate in sessions, resentations, and meetings
Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with vendors, suppliers, service providers, or off-site contractors |
