Embedded Software Engineering - BREW, Windows Mobile, J2ME, Flash Lite, Symbian, Rtos
Summary: The Embedded Software Engineer is a results-oriented, self-directed software professional who communicates effectively with customers to identify their needs, conducts complex and varied analyses of advanced technologies and platforms, compares and evaluates possible courses of action and delivers high performing, highly reliable, easily maintained mobile applications and systems software solutions.
This person must possess high level computer science and engineering knowledge and skills, and the ability to easily adapt that knowledge and apply those skills to the ever-changing and evolving technologies.
Required Education And Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on software systems. (Only in rare circumstances will this requirement be waived, and then only when the individual has the experience and demonstrated expertise to successfully perform the duties of this job.).
• 2+ years of software engineering, development, and testing experience
• Knowledge of and experience in creating, maintaining, and/or testing system software for various platforms, including BREW, Windows Mobile, J2ME, Flash Lite, Symbian, or Proprietary Rtos.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
• Creates, maintains, and/or tests system software for various platforms such as BREW, Windows Mobile, J2ME, Flash Lite, Symbian, or Proprietary RTOS.
• Delivers high-performing, highly reliable, easily maintained computer business solutions to customers.
• Communicates with customers to develop design specifications from requirements.
• Responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and integration of solutions according to specifications.
• Provides advice, technological support, guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Responsible for compliance with project development working infrastructure including source control
• Other duties as may be assigned.

• Self-starter, strong analytical skills, creative problem-solver, able to work independently and make sound judgments, while also remaining effective in a dynamic team environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly and resolve problems involved in integrating new technologies into existing systems.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• English proficiency
• Maintains confidentiality and discretion with regard to sensitive proprietary information of Company and customers.
• Maintains positive working relationships and “can do” attitude.
• Hands-on, dependable, detailed oriented, quality-conscious and result driven.
• Wiling to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Wiling to travel.
