Drive business development and revenue generation by pro-active engagement within the private/ public sector (Government & Education) and international organizations within the territory.
Position COMPANY as trusted advisor and preferred partner in the delivery of IT solutions for effective governance and national development. Partner effectively with the selected COMPANY partner base to deliver COMPANY products, strategy, services and solutions to the public sector.
ROLE / Responsibility:
Elevate COMPANY into a position of strategic advisor in terms of business alignment to technology.
Understand and propose the business value justification of technology investment to these public sector customers.
Ensure successful formulation and implementation of National ICT Policy in each country in the region in favour of COMPANY platform.
Facilitate the adoption and implementation of COMPANY Solutions in critical areas of public service provision such as education, healthcare, agriculture & public finance.
Key Performance Indicators:
Grow Public Sector Revenue by average 50% YOY
National ICT Policy Implementation in the territory
Government Enterprise Agreements in the territory.
COMPANY platform technology in key e-Government projects.
Win High Imapct Projects (HIP) such as Healthcare,Finance, and Tourism.
Drive customer satisfaction and execute key COMPANY initiatives within a defined and targeted public sector customer base.
Co-ordination of business plan and objectives with Sales Manager in line with strategic account plans.
Qualify, develop, close and complete opportunity Management cycle in customer base. Manage account activities including a Public Sector Account plan and strategy for the region and each country individually.
Present a business case for technology investment at senior Government and public sector board level.
Become the first line of contact for public sector and Government issues: e.G. Policy, Tenders, Government Events and customer advocate for issue resolution within this customer set.
Strategy And Business Development:
Understand COMPANY’s vertical industry positioning and be able to articulate COMPANY’s unique value proposition in public sector.
Responsibility for revenue generation, customer satisfaction and executing on top line company initiatives within the public sector.
Facilitate market penetration and objectives with the virtual team in the defined government and public sector account space.
Select and assign opportunity ownership to a COMPANY sales specialist or partner wherever appropriate without relinquishing overall responsibility and Accountability.
Manage opportunities through entire sales process.
Identify and manage the opportunity pipeline, tracking information in Siebel and orchestrating COMPANY resources.
Convince the public sector and Government stakeholders to invest in COMPANY’s products, technology and solutions to address the above.
Identify and motivate key areas for COMPANY investments and partnerships with national government within the territory.
People Management:
Initially, the position will have no direct reports; however ability to manage virtual teams will be necessary.
Lead and delegate account development activities to virtual teams to ensure a synergistic, company-wide approach.
Work with licensing specialists to ensure timely achievement of revenue forecast.
Communication / Business Relationships:
Systematically build relationships with members of the customer’s power base.
Position COMPANY as a strategic partner by communicating Company's capabilities and solutions and gather evidence to demonstrate superiority of COMPANY solutions over competitive offerings within the public sector.
Champion customer concerns within Company.
Communicate COMPANY's commitment to the public sector.
Engage with partners to ensure that we achieve account coverage in key solution areas.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
Develop/provide input into budget planning for public sector accounts in the region.
Achieve individual revenue goal.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
5 to 8+ years of consultative selling /account management experience preferably in the software, complex solutions, and/or professional services area.
Proven track record in selling to public sector and enterprise accounts at an executive level.
Experience in identifying, sourcing and managing funds for public sector projects.
Public Sector, Donor Organization, Government Networks
Skilful at co-coordinating and managing various resources to close sales.
Proven track record in the closure of complex sales Bachelor / Master in Business/Engineering or Information Technology Skills and Knowledge Ability to manage multiple accounts and forecast business accurately.
Ability to conduct effective sales presentations to all levels of customers.
Passionate and energetic about the delivery of COMPANY solutions to customers.
Technical Knowledge:
Good understanding of enterprise computing environments as well as the major vendors’ (competitive and friendly) products and positioning.
Demonstrable knowledge of the structure of government and the inter-relationships among different government organisations.
Ability to build and maintain a strong contacts base made up of influencers and decision makers in and around the government.
Proven Success:
