Bring your strong trade compliance background and customs process knowledge and make that monumental difference in the growing global trade team at Microsoft. As a Trade Operations Manager, EMEA you will be responsible for ensuring that key compliance program requirements in the EU, Middle East, Africa and the fast growing markets of Russia and the other Common Wealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. You will be responsible for ensuring the development and execution for all defined compliance projects/activities in the Region. Focus will be on global customs regulation frameworks such as harmonized tariff schedule, customs valuation, import value added taxation rules, Authorized Economic Operator requirements, import declaration requirements and customs brokerage for end-to-end efficiencies throughout the corporation. You will be a key part of a global trade team.

Purpose of role:
This position supports the company's international trade compliance program and helps to manage and resolve significant trade issues as they arise. The Trade Operations Manager is a key facilitator and process enabler for the fulfillment infrastructure of our business streams and compliance strategies for EMEA. You will have primary responsibility for managing and resolving trade issues related to our products. You will be the primary developer and manager of in-country customs requirements and metrics. You will play a key role in ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross border movements function smoothly and that issues and risks are identified and managed in an efficient and prompt manner. You will be a problem-solver and process implementer. Your success will be measured by the efficiency and effectiveness of the implemented business trade model in achieving agreed goals and in maximizing cross border efficiencies while maintaining compliance levels.
Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day business processes of Trade
• Establish Network of country specific trade experts and resources
• Collect, coordinate and analyze trade data
• Manage vendor compliance with services agreements and SOWs
• Partner with key stakeholders in implementing process improvements.
• Manage process of trade and trade relations for the region
• Identify regional trade trends and changes in the trade environment
• Conduct periodic document reviews for accuracy of trade data
• Improve, manage and maintain compliance scorecards
• Act as advisor for compliance and trade cost efficiencies in supply chain

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Essential Requirements
• 3+ years customs brokerage management and/or supply chain experience
• BS/BA in Business or International Studies preferred
• Experience in engaging and communicating with customs brokerage representatives
• Customs compliance internal audit experience
• Experience in compliance risk analysis
• Expertise in customs valuation methodologies
• Expertise in VAT regulations
• Knowledge of customs processes and requirements for Russia
• Demonstrated expertise in customs issues and issue resolution
• Ability to balance workload and prioritize deliverables and resources based on urgency and criticality of issues
Desirable Requirements
• Proficiency in Russian and/or French and/or German
• Knowledge of HTS’ for Region
• Previous experience developing and presenting materials/ideas to diverse international audiences is required.
• Previous experience developing and presenting materials/ideas to diverse international audiences is required.
• Proven experience integrating trade processes into varied business models.
• Working knowledge of international trade issues for the IT industry
• Familiarity with U.S. and EU export controls
• Familiarity with SAP
