E-Fulusi Africa seeks to hire a department head for the overall operations of company activities. Said employee must also possess the ability to head the facilitation of developing and documenting project plans which will require knowledge of various fields: Mobile Technology, Finance, Marketing and Administration.
As an employee who will require taking on multiple responsibilities, you must be highly motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Your responsibilities will be focused on manning the day-to-day operations of E-Fulusi’s relevant activities, which will require you to liaise with partners and strategic alliances. You will also be in charge of leading a team that will assist you in your tasks.
In addition to running the operations department your duties will be to facilitate and head the development of various project plans which will be based on new solutions and future activities of E-Fulusi Africa. This will require excellent documenting and planning skills and the ability to draft and redraft project proposals and facilitate their transition from the brainstorm stage up to the point of proposal and subsequent implementation. Project development will require familiarity with drafting Terms of Reference and diction and structural conventions.
You will work alongside the Managing Director and the Management team and will be responsible for coordinating relations.
You will also be required to perform all tasks and assume all other responsibilities as required by the managing director.
You must have a flexible personality, and be able to adapt well to diverse scenarios, work alongside a highly motivated management team and navigate between both formal and informal working environments.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
o 3+ years of professional experience in an MFI, bank or management consulting firm
o Prior experience in drafting project proposals
o Prior experience in a start-up organization desireable
o BS/BA degree in business, finance or economics (or other related field), MS/MBA desirable
o Knowledge of microfinance best practices and familiarity with microfinance methodologies
o Experience with due diligence and portfolio management analytical tools and methodologies
o Strong management skills and ability to deliver results on multiple priorities simultaneously
o Strong leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively and present to large groups publicly
o Disciplined, detail oriented, and accountable
o Experience with managing small teams and with developing staff and partners
o Knowledge of Kiswahili highly desirable
o Ability to interact effectively with people of other cultures, capacities, and organizations
o Strong interpersonal and speaking skills
o Ability to travel regionally and internationally, including rural locations
o Strong understanding of internet based services and Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint)
