The Everyday View
The Information Systems Manager for MainConcept will be expected to plan, implement and manage the network infrastructure in our main Aachen office as well as coordinate and implement interconnection with our subsidiaries in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
• Plan, deploy, manage and document activity and issues related to MainConcept’s server and network infrastructure as well as any other technical aspects as needed
• Coordinate the integration and interconnection of services for MainConcept’s worldwide subsidiaries
• Manage internal company IT skills training and documentation
• Set up and manage internal company information systems support processes
• Document departmental purchases in accordance with MainConcept’s budgetary policies
• Manage internal information systems helpdesk
• Install, troubleshoot and repair employee systems as requested

Required Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate for this position will be an expert at managing and troubleshooting technical issues across a range of operating systems, software and technology services. The type of candidate who will truly thrive in this position will also be a highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of integrity and creativity. In addition, the ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
• 3 to 5 years experience managing network infrastructures for technology companies
• Experience managing Linux/Unix based servers
• Experience with Cisco network equipment and tools
• Thorough understanding of IP networking standards and best practices
• Solid understanding of the network related functions of Windows, Mac and Linux based operating systems
• The ability to quickly familiarize yourself with the hardware and software components of vendors’ networks
• Experience managing heterogeneous networks
• Working knowledge of VoIP technology
• Thoughtful, courteous and polite interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English |
