| Job Beschreibung: |
Overall Purpose Of Job:
• To support the call centre agents and client with regards to the Call Centre Environment (Remedy /Apropos Administration) and project SQL servers.
Main Responsibilities/tasks:
Call Centre Administration
• Perform configuring and security admin tasks for Users on Apropos/Remedy;
• Apropos/ Remedy desktop installation and administration;
• Support to the Call Centre staff (approximately 40 CSR’s);
• Daily Backups for the following: Remedy server x 2/ Apropos server x 2;
• Input to the Server Capacity plan for the client (Remedy/Apropos Servers, both hardware & software) ;
• Provide the operations environment with technical support by resolving related requests to the Call Centre Environment; and
• Perform basic fault checking & problem identification, with fault simulation.
SQL Administration
• Server administration and maintenance including setting up the environment for newly acquired hardware/software;
• Generate, configure and optimise the performance of the databases;
• Document benchmarks and procedures needed to optimise performance and ensure that all guidelines are followed;
• Provide statistics of server performance;
• Input to the Server Capacity plan for the client (servers, both hardware & software);
• Network support, which will only consist of problem identification (the network is managed by 3rd parties);
• Providing the operations environment with technical support by resolving related requests;
• Provide input on any design decisions for interfacing or integrating databases;
• Conduct build releases to Production and Training environments (as stand in for SQL DBA);
• Create/execute Batch runs for Web environment (if required);
• Daily Backups for the following: File server, Web servers and SQL database;
• General Technical maintenance & administration activities, such as cutting CD’s, tape backups, Desktop software review, etc.; and
• Support the efforts of the test lead and deployment lead to plan and deploy the applications.
General tasks

• Report weekly formal status to the relevant team leaders. In addition identify problems and bring them to supervisors’ attention with sufficient lead time to avert crises;
• Report informal status regularly (i.E. Will not operate in isolation);

• Engage in formal or informal knowledge transfer to/from other project members.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Knowledge And Attributes / Skills:
• Good working knowledge of server and desktop operating systems, such as WIN 2000 server, 2003 server, Windows XP, SQL and IIS applications;
• Windows technology configuration and deployment;
• Good working knowledge of heterogeneous Network Platforms; and
• Experience with fault tolerance and resolution.

Education, Qualifications, Experience Necessary:
• 3-year tertiary degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field
