YBM Education is seeking dynamic and professional individuals to teach adults at its three locations in Busan, South Korea.
Seomyun, the largest facility, is located in the center of the city. It is a popular area for shopping, entertainment and nightlife. Students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and age groups.
Nampodong, in Southern Busan, is next to the sea and in the heart of the business district. Popular for it seafood restaurants and annual international film festival, it is just a 10-minute bus ride from Busan’s sea cliff island park, Daejongdae. Many students work at nearby shipping companies.
Daeyeon, in northern Busan, is just a 5-minute subway ride from Kyungsung University or Gwangali Beach. This vibrant area has a very youthful feel. Students mainly come from the two nearby universities.
All schools boast state-of-the art facilities and resources to assist teachers in offering the full complement of YBM Conversation, Business English, Academic Writing and Test Preparation programs to adult learners.
YBM-ELS schools provide a great curriculum for both students and teachers alike, balancing the need for clearly formulated language/skills objectives with a commitment to instructor adaptation of materials. Faculty rooms provide access to photocopiers, the internet, and an extensive resource library, in addition to resource materials compiled by teachers. All centers have an English speaking Academic Supervisor to ensure that instructors’ professional needs are met, as well as to provide administrative support for accommodation and visa-related issues.
Qualifications:
BA/BS required. Prefer applicants with a minimum teaching experience of one year + TESOL, CELTA or TEFL certificate. Business teaching and test preparation experience are a plus, but equally important are enthusiasm and a passion for teaching.
Compensation:
1) Monthly base salary between 2.1 & 2.4 M (depending on experience & qualifications).
2) Severance pay (equivalent to one month's salary) paid upon completion of the 12-month contract.
3) Incentive bonus for outstanding teachers, paid out every 2 months.
4) Medical insurance (50/50)
5) 10 million won key money deposit (no interest).
6) Motel accommodation (up to ten days), prior to securing an apartment.
7) One week paid training prior to contract start date.
