BASIC Function:
Reporting to the World Class Manufacturing Plant Leader and the Plant Manufacturing Engineering Manager we have an challenging opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Team Leader. The main purpose of the role is to provide Manufacturing Site coordination of all activities relating to Continuous Improvement, enhancing knowledge of the Tools and techniques of Continuous Improvement / Lean methods throughout the plant.
Major Responsebilities:
- Coordinating Focused Improvement activities in the 2 pilot areas
- Ensure Site Implementation Project Plans are met in conjunction with Department heads;
- Steer Improvement Projects in the Autonomous Activity Pillar, Focused Improvement Pillar and Workplace Organisation Pillar;
- Provide training in Continuous Improvement Techniques; Trains team in standardise work and maintains matrix record and enforces discipline of standardised work
- Determines standardised work as the basis for continuous improvements
- Analysing and collating data on manufacturing break downs and the preparation of statistics and Pareto reports;
- Problem-solving to determine and correct the root causes of equipment break downs;
- Performing and monitoring the testing of new equipment for introduction, data collection and reporting;
- Gaining a detailed understanding of designated, production requirements ;
- Undertaking lean six sigma improvement activities as part of Focussed Improvement Teams.
- Strive to promote and support a continuous improvement culture whilst maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Implement disciplined and lean processes in relation to the use of Maximo;
- Plan, liaise and manage on site contractors to perform tasks safely meeting timing objectives.
- Ensure that CNH safety, CDM and HSE requirements are fully complied with.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
- Qualified to degree level, or relevant experience in field
- Experienced Green Belt / Qualified Six Sigma Black Belt (preferable)
- Experience in Kaizen methodologies, with TPM implementation, including OEE recording and interpretation (preferable)
- 7 Step problem solving knowledge
- Excellent working knowledge of statistical process control and Lean manufacturing methodology
- Experience in completing FMEA’s
- Excellent Change Management skills
- Excellent communication skills and effective in interaction at all levels
- Possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to develop and coach members within team
- Excellent standard of computer literacy.
- Equivalent to 5 years practical experience within a tool room or maintenance discipline.
