The University of Nevada, Reno Information Technology division seeks candidates for a SQL Server Database Administrator to administer and support multiple SQL servers, including clustered an non-clustered configurations, Analysis and Reporting Services. This position provides primary administration and support for multiple SQL Servers. This position reports to the Manager of Critical Systems in the department of Computing and Telecommunications supporting department and college Systems in the department of Computing and Telecommunications supporting department and college vendor and third-party applications. The role utilizes effective communication skills; problem solving, decision - making and analytical skills; as well as customer service skills. Also, the position requires the ability to erform application maintenance after normal business hours.
Salary range for this Administrative Faculty position is $47,155 to $72,546. Benefits include TIAACREF and retirement options; 24 das annual leave and generous sick leave; tuition benefits for self and family; no state income tax.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a ggionally accredited institution with an emphasis or major in computer information systems or related field. With a Bachelor's degree and four years, or a Master's degree and two years, of experience as a SQL Server Administrator.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
*SQL Server database administration experience including monitoring, maintenance, performance analysis, backup and recovery, Reporting Services, Analysis Services and T-SQL.
*Experience idenifying the causes of and remedies of performance issues in a database.
*Prior experience with installation and configuration of SL Server and associated software components and applying service packs. |
