Product Manager, San Mateo, CA, Full Time (Perm)
The Product Manager's job is to ensure that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and creative skills, attention to detail, and strong insight into what makes a successful mobile experience on the broad spectrum of the device market.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Translate customer needs, business goals and feature concepts into prioritized product requirements and use cases
* Analyze market and competitive landscape to understand opportunity and value potential Define product strategy and develop product roadmap for success
* Build, scope and prioritize use cases for development teams
* Communicate with stakeholders regarding product goals and progress against those goals
* Work with marketing resources to creatively grow the product adoption.
Required experience and knowledge:
* BA/BS required, MBA preferred
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* Experience developing consumer products in mobile, specifically for WAP, J2ME and BREW preferred
* Mobile device and messaging experience.
* Strong background (2+ years) in product and/or project management
* Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
* Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent consumer software products
* Ability to manage multiple projects
* Work prioritization, planning and task delegation and work with peers in cross-functional setting
* Flexibility in work hours when needed to accommodate customers and/or staff in different time zones.
* Desire to work in a start-up environment and motivated by having a vested interest in the company's success
