Business Intelligence Consultant
- Define the business case and justification for various IT initiatives.
- Develop and maintain OLAP cubes and BI reports, develop standards for BI infrastructure, create ad hoc reports from data warehouses using BI tools and provide technical assistance for other staff members. You will also design data warehouse structures to support end-user reporting, end to end business intelligence (BI) solutions for all levels of management and work with business analysts to document reporting requirements.
- Analyze business and technical processes to formulate, present and implement new and modified business information systems. Coordinate with business, architecture and technology teams -- ascertaining system requirements, program functions, output requirements and controls.
- Understand our overall business strategy, and drive / accelerate the implementation of that strategy via applications
- Manage ongoing projects and coordinate work with the appropriate IT group
- Assist in the definition of scope and requirements for projects.
Qualifications:
-College degree required in computer, systems, industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
-5-10+ years experience in professional.
-Proven ability to interface with business owners, CEOs, CFOs, and other senior executives.
-Knowledge of some Business Intelligence products/OLAP. (Cognos, Business Objects, Microsoft, O3,SAS,...)
-Knowledge of ETL, Data Warehouse, Knowledge Managemente, Project Management
-Knowledge of Data Modeling, Process Modeling, Business Modeling
