Provide database administration functions in support of Corporate and Project non-CAD Databases, which may include but is not limited to:
Creating databases as requested, in accordance with the appropriate change controls.
Installing, maintaining and configuring database software on the required hardware platforms.
Test and evaluate new software releases.
Maintaining an awareness of developments and trends in database technology and provide recommendations as to their potential use.
Performing maintenance functions on databases, software and application interfaces in accordance with the appropriate change controls.
Monitoring and tuning database configurations to ensure that appropriate performance and service levels are maintained.
Designing, implementing and monitoring database security strategies.
Determining appropriate database backup, recovery and archival strategies.
Ensuring database integrity following recovery or restore.
Installing, maintaining and configuring the server element of Client/Server database communication software.
Providing guidance in the design of data structures to maintain system performance and compliance with application requirements. |
| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Engineering Diploma with +5 years in the use of computer aided engineering design systems.
A knowledge of computer aided design software is essential.
Experience in the support and administration of Bentley systems including ProjectWise. |
