Position: Planner, Scheduler
Reports to: Program Controls Manager
Department: Shared Services
Job Summary
Prepares Program Management master and detailed schedules from pre-concept through construction to Operator set-up and Opening. Advises contract administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work within the disciplines imposed by an ‘electronic Program Management’ System (ePM).
Develop Design, Construction and Operator schedules.
Actively seek out fast-track design and construct opportunities together with the Program Management Teams.
Review / approve consultants and contractor’s schedules.
Advise and assist the consultants and contractors in the development of their schedules.
Monitor and report the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.
Define milestones for inclusion in Request for Proposals and Tender documents through detailed discussions with the Program Management Teams, define interfaces between buildings/infrastructure and Construction/Operations.
Prepare technical Proposal and Tender evaluations.
Prepare monthly progress reports text and Schedule summaries / look-aheads.
Ensure Primavera schedules correlate within the ePM to Costing Data.
Evaluate claims and make recommendations.
Estimate time element of change of orders and incorporate within the schedules.
Monitor actual production rates and compare with plan.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Specific Skills Required
Expert knowledge of codes, scheduling principles and construction methodologies.
Strong computer skills and be a hands-on User of Primavera 5/6 (MS Project would be advantageous).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Understand and be able to apply resources to schedule activities.
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
