Large Steam Turbine Project Engineers X 4
This is a Return to Service Project i.e. the Rehabilitation of some 40 year old Coal Fired Power Plants with Large Steam Turbines. I am currently recruiting for Project Engineers all of whom will have a solid grounding in working with Large Steam Turbines. Candidates with a background in either Nuclear or Combinded Cycle Plants will also be considered.
Minimum of ten (10) years in the power industry, six (6) of which should include steam turbine mechanical systems commissioning experience. Requires a thorough understanding of industrial safety, water, fuel, and steam system processes as well steam turbine operation. Experience in coal-fired power plant operations / supervision and DCS control systems. Develop system scoping documents, turnover packages, schedules, testing procedures, and reports. Work closely with client site personnel and vendor service engineers engaged in pre-commissioning activities. Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure adequate provisions have been made for testing, flushing, cleaning and other pre-commissioning functions. Conduct and direct cleaning, flushing, and pre-commissioning of all plant mechanical systems. Must have the ability to conduct systems walk downs and generate punch lists. Supervise construction craft labor assigned him / her. May administer the safety and clearance tagging procedure. May supervise and direct an operational shift as the facility progresses through commissioning and testing.

9-12 Month Contracts
4 Months on 10 days off
Standard 40 hours per week (average 55-65pw)
Pay rate up to $50ph+ for Qualified Candidates plus completion bonus
$50 Per Diem
Accommodation and Flights provided (you can utilise a flight to fly a family member down to South Africa)
