Value-based hedge fund in Fort Lee, NJ making long-term investments primarily in small public companies is looking for an Analyst/Associate.
We are looking for the ideal addition to our small team of 4 investment professionals. The fund has had returns far in excess of the market since inception in early 2003 by making concentrated long-term investments in a handful of extremely well researched companies. Our process is entirely bottoms-up. We research hundreds of companies a year doing extensive due diligence. The partners of the fund are by the far the largest owners of the fund and all outside capital is subject to lengthy lock-up periods providing us a very stable capital base.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
A candidate must:
1) be extremely smart - the candidate will very quickly be expected to be the lead on sourcing and analyzing new opportunities demonstrating an ability to synthesize large amounts of data into a coherent investment thesis supported by extensive due diligence
2) have experience as a direct investor in mutual funds or venture capital markets
3) be well versed in the concepts of "value" investing
4) be an avid reader with a wide range of intellectual interests
5) be looking for a long-term "home" to build his or her skills as an investor and his or her net worth
