Dynamic positioning (DP) is a system which automatically maintains a ship’s position and heading by using her own propellers and thrusters. This allows operations at sea when mooring or anchoring is not feasible. Dynamic positioning may either be absolute, i.e. the vessel`s position is locked to a fixed point over the seabed, or relative to a moving object such as another ship or an underwater vehicle. Dynamic positioning is frequently used in the offshore industry, e.g. in the North Sea, Persian Gulf, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and off Brazil.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to efficient completion of deliveries from start to finish
• Detailed HW and SW Engineering
• HW and SW commissioning on board
• Extensive world-wide travel at times
