Position Summary
Have you seen the Facebook application for the BlackBerry? Did you hear about the SAP announcement from RIM describing our plans to create an integrated CRM solution on the BlackBerry? How about the announcement with IBM to expand the Lotus Connections client on the BlackBerry? These are just some examples of Platform Engagements with key RIM strategic partners. As a developer in the Platform engagements team in Redwood City, you'll be working on high profile, highly visible engineering engagements creating fully integrated client-server solutions for the BlackBerry, developed in collaboration with key strategic partners. Our solutions must provide a secure platform for both consumer and enterprise users. Each engagement presents a unique an interesting challenge from a security perspective. Ideal candidates will be well versed in a variety of security protocols and techniques, with concrete experience in dealing with security issues in e-commerce. If you enjoy partner-facing, highly visible, challenging and rewarding engineering projects, this is the group for you! |
| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
• 5+ years experience in developing security solutions
• Solid Java programming skills
• Conceptual knowledge of existing authentication standards and techniques (DSA, ECDSA, DES, AES, etc)
• Experience architecting/designing and implementing security solutions
• Knowledge and experience in mobile security
• Working knowledge of existing e-commerce security solutions
• Familiarity with issues around mobile e-commerce security (ie. Mobile payment)
• Solid networking experience, including internet protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, etc.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven individual and team performer
Additional Assets
• Academic specialization in security
• Well versed in XML, JSON, AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies
• Customer-facing engineering work
• Experience developing and deploying client-server mobile solutions
• Development experience with enterprise software solutions
