Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for overall coordination and operational leadership in the Logistics area of the company. Specific areas of responsibility include the development and implementation of long and short range strategic objectives, business plans, policies, budgets, and programs for the Logistics operations to achieve the corporate goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
•Accountable for capital expense and operating budgets in the Logistics operating areas.
•Responsible to analyze financial statements and determines adherence to budgets and operating standards in the Logistics area.
•Responsible as a member of the Corporate Leadership Team to participate in corporate strategic planning and develop departmental action plans that support those long term corporate strategic plans.
•Responsible for continuous improvement in the Logistics area by using “best practices” as standards and “Key Performance Indicators” as metrics of performance to compare as benchmarks.
•Responsible in creating continuous development plans for each member of the Logistics team that includes training, coaching, motivation, evaluation and discipline. Also, responsible for continuous personal and professional growth.
•Responsible for the process to insure that the Global movement of product complies with all state, federal, and customs regulations and other relevant enforcement agency requirements related to duties, fees, and controls.

•Collaborates daily with manufacturing partners, logistics & service providers, and Demand Generation partners.
•Possesses excellent communication skills and is able to determine the appropriate method of communication in any given situation either individually or in a group setting.
•Has experience in developing KPI’s and understands how to present those KPI’s to various levels of associates.
•Has experience in designing or creating reports related to the Logistics area that communicate results easily understood by the various levels of management.
•Has the ability to develop cross-functional teams to identify and communicate operational issues of corporate level importance to interact with vendors and customers to improve supply chain processes.

•Must possess vision to implement processes to support the current requirements of the Logistics area.

•Has past experience as a leader in a mid-size to large company
•Has managed multiple associates in a manager or director level
•Has proven experience of achieving goals in a team based environment
•Is a skilled listener who identifies, motivates, probes, and questions to stimulate enthusiasm and influence the development of the Logistic area team
Working conditions:
•Normal office environment
•Minimum travel of 25%
•Must be able to legally travel outside of the United States
Qualifications:
Education:
•Bachelors degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four year college or university; and 10+ years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
•10-15 years experience in Logistics, preferably in a manufacturing supply chain environment
•A minimum of 5 years experience preferred in the apparel industry
•Experience with LTL, FTL, Air, Small Package, and Ocean modes of Transportation
•Experience in customs compliance, customs brokerage, global standards, and freight forwarding
•Experience with air-freight and critical delivery situations a plus
•Experience with transportation optimization software
•Experience with interacting with Customs Brokers strongly preferred
•Experience in with Maquillas in Mexico preferred
