Civil / Structural Designer that has demonstrated knowledge in civil / structural principles and substation design. This position will be responsible to produce new drawings from examples of previous projects and/or standards, calculate structure heights and weights, concrete volumes, equipment fit-up, or other tasks, develop design documents, drawings, and bills of materials, and other duties as required. To be considered you must have extensive knowledge of various CADD programs, knowledge of the major components of a substation, knowledge of civil / structural codes and standards (NESC, and applicable IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI) (Civil / Structural Designers), a basic knowledge of the function of major electrical equipment, and knowledge of the types of drawings required to construct an electrical substation. Experience working with mathematics, including algebra and basic trigonometry as well as solid word processing, spread sheet, and e-mail software skills are needed. |
