This position will be based in Tokyo, Japan but will have regional responsibility including Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan. As the sole Human Resource representative for the region s/he will be responsible for implementing all corporate workforce practices and ensuring appropriate customization for regional differences. As a direct report to the EVP of Human Resources in Santa Clara, California this individual will also have a strong dotted line reporting relationship to the regional senior management leader.
Accountable for the integration of global HR functions and processes within APAC
• Coordinating all recruitment activity for APAC (in conjunction with the Corporate recruiting function)
• Accountable for coaching and developing the leadership team and delivering management and employee training programs.
• Working with the corporate compensation & benefits leader, coordinates salary management across APAC including designing and implementing unit-specific compensation guidelines with input from local geographies.
• Tracking activities in the area of performance management and promotions.
• Coordinating the Annual Performance Management Review Process, promotion activities and compensation administration
• Ensure that the company in APAC operates in compliance to local employment and other related laws
• Track employee satisfaction and manage the ongoing initiatives to address problem areas
• Facilitate management forums on a monthly basis
• Accountable for working with leadership team to facilitate the acquisition transition and cultural integration
• To travel regularly to each site, particularly Hong Kong and Taiwan to engage with employees and managers to address any employee relations concerns (at least monthly to each with more frequent travel early in the assignment)
• Develop and keep updated the regional employee handbook

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Required:
• 5-7 years experience as an HR generalist, ideally in a pan-APAC environment,
• Experience in developing creative HR solutions, processes, systems and maintaining legal compliance in a high tech, always changing environment
• Excellent English communication skills both orally and in writing
• Adept at planning and delivering projects on time
• Comfortable in a fast paced, high growth Company
• Customer focused and a teamwork fanatic
• A working knowledge of business strategy, organization development, communication, training design and development, employment law and compensation
• Must have solid administrative and counseling/coaching capabilities
• Strong problem solving skills and be an objective evaluator of people
• Previous experience of resource planning and pipelining (e.g. headcount trend analysis, numbers/skill needs and scheduling aspects)
Desired:
• Experience with Oracle HRIS or other HRIS system
• High tech company experience desirable
• Fluency in other Asian language skills would be a plus (ideally Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese)
