We have an immediate requirement RNC Integration Engineer for one of our prestigious client Ericson in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The details of the requirements is as follows

Job Title: RNC Integration Engineer
Functional Role: Integration Engineer, Access 3G
Location: Saudi Arabia
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 6 months renewable contract
The RNC Integration Engineer work tasks are:
• Excellent Experience with the Testing and Integration of Ericsson’s UMTS Radio Network Control Node (RNC), and GSM Base Station Controller (BSC).
• Start-up, Testing and Integration of RNC HW and SW packages, including verification of UMTS RAN features specific to the RNC as per BOQ.
• Providing on-site support to Ericsson UMTS Customers to support RNC integration and troubleshoot and remedy faults when necessary.
• Configuration and handling of RNC network elements in a real UMTS network.
• Flexibility and Adaptability. Assist with the planning, preparation and completion of AXE Node Integration according to procedures, and Acceptance documents … etc.
• Perform Systems Integration.
• Assist customer at Acceptance testing.
• Assist at launching of the RNC’s / BSC’s in live service.
• Provide system support and fulfil customer requirements after the system is in service until hand over to O&M/support department.
• Perform & Test HW extensions in live exchanges when applicable.
• Propose and participate in process and procedures development.
• Travel to different regions in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia when necessary.
The ideal RNC Integration Engineer shall have the following competence:
• Excellent Integration experience of Ericsson’s RNC, RXI and RBS nodes with the rest of the Core Network Elements/Nodes, etc.
• Telecommunications particularly mobile cellular systems, GSM and UMTS Standards.
• 3GPP WCMDA air-interface and signalling protocols.
• Excellent knowledge of RNC and CPP functionality
• Trouble shooting and fault tracing techniques.
• Radio Network Design.
• Technical Customer Support.
• Ability to configure IP Networks.
• Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to lead and drive complex technical problems to solution.
• The equivalent of university degree in the communication field. Have 3 years of AXE 10 testing experience, specially with Ericsson RNC/BSCs.
• Good command of English language, oral and written. Arabic is a plus.
• Competence to co-operate with managers, external and internal customers and understanding of their situation and needs.
• Understanding of Arabic/Islamic culture, ability to adapt and respect the cultural difference is essential.
• The RNC/BSCC Integration Engineer shall maintain a professional relationship with: Internal and external customers, Service Providers and Sub-contractors and Project Managers.
• Excellent use of OSS-RC applications ( OSS explorer, UTRAN explorer, SMO and EMAS)
• Excellent knowledge of XML scripts for configuring any topology.
• Familiar with UTRAN parameters
• Excellent monitoring and troubleshooting experience using with moshell and other relevant tools.
• Experience with UTRAN P5 and the upgrade of it.
