We have an exciting vacancy in our European After Sales Team for a Technical Engineer who wishes to be part of a recently created and growing “Service Team” across Europe. The ASP Technical Support Engineer will be part of a multicultural and knowledgeable team of Technical Support Engineers based in the European Headquarter of HTC.
Job Purpose
To ensure, as a member of the European Technical Support team, that HTC provides the highest levels of technical support to its Authorised Service Providers (ASP) in the Iberian region.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide telephone and e-support with regards to hard and software related repair and other technical queries by ASPs.
• Use formal escalation process and troubleshooting methodologies to ensure effective and efficient handling of customer issues in accordance with service level agreements.
• Prepare and present relevant technical bulletins, operational procedures, and other training material.
• Analysis of repair reports and product quality feedback to HQ to continuously enhance our products.
• Any other ad-hoc projects or duties that may arise from time to time within the Technical Support Team.
Any other relevant information
Occasional business trips into the region.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience:
• Experienced (2-3 years) in handling and resolving complex customer problems in a professional manner, over the telephone, via email and on site (in handset or PC sector)
• Strong understanding of the Windows Mobile platform is highly desirable.
• Fluent English (written and spoken), ability to respond to complex queries clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work in high pressure environments.
• Team player; self motivated and independent.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is desirable.
Education:
• Educated to degree level (BA in Communication/ Computer Science/ Electronics or Network).
