Member Liaison
Austin Technology Council is seeking a Member Liaison that will be responsible for planning and managing our events, administering our membership and event database. As the Member Liaison, you will work with our membership base that includes companies and individuals from all sectors of the technology industry including information technology, software/hardware, Internet, ISPs, telecommunications, biotechnology, bioinformatics, aerospace and nanotechnology, as well as the service providers that play an important role in supporting these companies.
ATC is a nonprofit organization and Partner of the highly successful Austin Technology Incubator (ATI). Our goal is to foster the development and growth of companies focused on technological growth and development in the Austin community.
Responsibilities:
• Event planning and event management, including registration, vendor and sponsor communications, marketing and promotions, logistics, food and beverage, A/V, signage, and budget management/reconciliation
• Member Services and Database management which will include registrations of participants, members and events, payments, and running reports
Requirements:
• 2+ years experience in event management
• Proven project management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with a high attention to detail and follow up
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of an organization both internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a small company, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent years of experience
• Highly motivated, energetic and disciplined approach to work
