Multinational IT Company is looking to recruit a Project Manager for their offices in Nicosia.
The Project Manager will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and the overall responsibilities will be to manage projects and ensure successful delivery to our clients. A successful project will exceed our client’s expectations, provide them with business solutions that meet goals and objectives, and is completed within agreed scope, budget and timeframe boundaries. Projects can vary in size from ad-hoc requests by client through to the delivery of part of a large programme of changes such as a product launch.
Activities / Key Tasks
•Project Methodology, Monitoring and Tracking
•Develop and roll-out Project Management Standards and Processes
•Ensure adherence to project management methodologies as appropriate (MS Project, Six Sigma, Prince 2, RUP, CMM)
•Define projects and related processes
•Facilitate Change, Issue and Risk Management of Key Programs
•Booking resources from the Project office and interacting with Project office Committee in case of cancellation, delays or changes during the project implementation phase
•Lead Weekly and Monthly Portfolio reviews
•Contribute to ongoing improvements to process and procedure as necessary.
Management of Project Staff
•Provide leadership, guidance & direction to a team of project staff to ensure work allocated is being completed timely and to expected quality.
•Provide Mentoring/Development of Project staff
•Provide management oversight of the pool of Project staff leading the key initiatives in a matrixed environment
•Interface with business units and clients
•Work with external vendors / contractors to ensure delivery of projects on time and facilitate resolution of any issues that may impact the project or wider programme
Project Approval and Guidance
•Participate in strategic business/technology planning and decisions
•Develop and cultivate relationships with senior business leaders
•interface with Operating Companies and Divisions relative to process development and implementation, and project/program management
Client Management
•Interface with clients on a global basis acting as a first point of contact for the assigned clients to ensure requirements are understood and establish ways to meet these.
•Contractual relationship with client on project
•Commercial relationship with client on project
•Ownership of all project specifications
•Ownership of project plan milestones and deadlines
•Visit clients as needed
•Manage client expectations and act as an escalation when required.
•Supply Project updated to client and CTL business units
•Obtain PDP/project sign off
•Manage project budget
•Assist in client presentations and facilitate at internal meetings as required
Education/Qualification
Essential
•Educated to degree level or equivalent in an IT related field such as MIS, business or finance
Desirable:
•Relevant Project Management qualification (Prince 2)
Experience
Essential:
•4+ years project management experience.
•Demonstrated leadership abilities dealing with Cross Functional Teams.
•Proven experience managing diverse resources across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
•Proven ability to direct project outcomes based on long term business objectives.
•Previous client relationship / management and customer liaison experience.
Desirable:
•Experience with project management methodologies (MS Project, Six Sigma, Prince 2)
•Experience within the credit card / card payments area.
•Experience of working as a senior / lead project manager for a given project.
