Purpose of Job
Purpose of Cost Estimator position is to provide a Project cost estimation support/services to project leaders in ARP projects (APM Function) at various stages of project.
Principal accountabilities
1.To provide estimating services throughout the different phases of the projects.
2.To prepare firm budget estimates. To prepare Company estimates for Tender evaluation purposes.
3.To support project team in cost related services during economic evaluations of project proposals.
4.To support and assist customers during audit processes e.g. VARs.
5.To assess and analyse cost associated to uncertainties and risks of projects.
6.To assist in completed project analysis for the maintenance of the various databases.
7.To review/screen estimates or quotations prepared by Third Parties
8.To assist in bench marking exercises.
9.To assist in developing and enhancing cost models, estimating methodologies and relevant estimating tools.
10.To prepare, develop or provide cost control mechanism for projects.
11.To assist in Latest Cost Forecast (LCF) monitoring of projects.
12.To assist in the preparation of cost section of Project close out report.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Qualifications
Required
Degree/Diploma preferably in mechanical/civil engineering or quantity surveying.
Preferred
Competence Required
Experience Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in an engineering, estimating or quantity surveying role within the oil and gas industry.
Training
Relevant work experience that demonstrates ability to manage Cost Estimation section independently and sound knowledge of systems and related procedures.
Special Abilities
·Good communication skills, with the ability to develop effective business relationships both within and outside functional boundaries
·Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplined team
·Good sense of commercial awareness
·Relevant IT and System Applications courses
